Per-Service Billing
Pay only for what you schedule. Each service visit is billed individually — ideal for one-time jobs, seasonal treatments, or clients who prefer flexibility over a fixed monthly commitment.
- No recurring charge — billed per visit
- Available for all services
- Great for cleanups, aeration, overseeding & more
- Mix and match services each visit based on what your property needs
Monthly Billing
One flat monthly rate covers your recurring services all season long. No tracking individual visits — just a single predictable bill each month from May through November.
- Covers all scheduled recurring visits (e.g. weekly mowing)
- One invoice per month — simple and predictable
- Priority scheduling for monthly contract clients
- Available for mowing, bed maintenance & bundled plans
Also signed up for Winter Services? No problem — billing plans are set independently per season. You can choose Per-Service for summer and Monthly for winter (or any combination), and each runs on its own schedule. Keep in mind that your selected billing method for each season is locked in once service begins and cannot be changed mid-season.

Core Aeration
Benefits of core aeration:
- Reduces soil compaction from foot traffic and equipment
- Improves water absorption and reduces runoff
- Promotes deeper, stronger root growth
- Enhances fertilizer and overseeding effectiveness
- Reduces thatch buildup over time
Best performed in late summer or early fall for cool-season grasses common in Minnesota.
REQUEST AN AERATION ESTIMATE
Dethatching
Our dethatching service:
- Mechanically removes excess thatch with commercial-grade equipment
- Restores air and water penetration to the root zone
- Improves overall lawn health, color, and density
- Often paired with aeration and overseeding for maximum results
Fertilization
- Seasonal Applications: Custom programs for spring green-up, summer strength, and fall recovery
- Slow-Release Formulas: Extended feeding without the risk of burn
- Targeted Treatments: Address specific deficiencies in nitrogen, phosphorus, or iron
- Post-Aeration Fertilizing: Applied immediately after aeration for maximum root uptake
Overseeding
Best results come from overseeding in early fall, right after aeration. Our process:
- Select seed varieties proven for Minnesota's climate
- Prepare soil surface for optimal germination rates
- Apply seed at the correct density for even coverage
- Follow with starter fertilizer to support new seedling development
Weed Control
- Pre-Emergent Treatment: Applied in spring to prevent weed seeds from germinating
- Post-Emergent Treatment: Targets broadleaf weeds like dandelions, clover, thistle, and creeping charlie
- Spot Treatments: Precision application to stubborn problem areas
- Seasonal Programs: Ongoing protection throughout the full growing season
Hedge & Shrub Trimming
- Hedge and shrub shaping, sizing, and trimming
- Overgrowth reduction and restoration cuts
- All debris cleanup and hauling after each visit
- Available as a one-time service or recurring seasonal maintenance
Insect & Pest Control
- Preventative and curative surface insect treatments
- Targeted identification for precision treatment
- Safe for pets and children when applied per label directions
Noticing brown patches, wilting grass, or unusual bird activity on your lawn? It may be insect damage — contact us for an evaluation.
REQUEST AN INSECT CONTROL ESTIMATEGrub Control
- Preventative Grub Control: Applied in early summer before eggs hatch — the most effective option
- Curative Treatments: Applied when active grubs are discovered mid-season
- Follow-Up Lawn Repair: Overseeding and turf repair after grub damage is treated
Minnesota lawns are particularly vulnerable to Japanese beetle grubs. Prevention is far cheaper than repair.
REQUEST A GRUB CONTROL ESTIMATEIrrigation Services
- Spring Startup: Full system inspection, head adjustment, zone testing, and activation
- Fall Winterization: Complete blowout to prevent freeze damage
- Mid-Season Checks: Coverage inspections and controller adjustments
- Minor Repairs: Head replacement, zone troubleshooting, controller programming
Landscape Mulch Installation
Benefits of professional mulch installation:
- Moisture Retention: Reduces watering frequency by slowing evaporation from the soil surface around plants and shrubs
- Weed Suppression: A proper 2–3 inch layer blocks sunlight and inhibits weed seed germination in beds
- Temperature Regulation: Insulates plant roots from summer heat and early fall freezes
- Soil Health: Organic mulches break down over time, adding nutrients and improving soil structure beneath beds
- Curb Appeal: Uniformly mulched beds with clean edges instantly sharpen the appearance of any property
We offer shredded hardwood, black, brown, and red dyed, and cedar mulch options. Applied around trees, shrubs, garden beds, and landscape borders. Available as a one-time installation or as part of a recurring bed maintenance program.

REQUEST A STUMP GRINDING ESTIMATESoil Testing & Amendment
Our soil health service includes:
- Soil Testing: Laboratory analysis of your soil's pH, nutrient levels, organic matter content, and texture — giving us a precise picture of what's missing or out of balance
- Lime Application: Raises soil pH in acidic lawns, improving nutrient availability and microbial activity — one of the most cost-effective lawn improvements available in Minnesota
- Sulfur Application: Lowers pH in overly alkaline soils to bring conditions into the optimal range for turf growth
- Compost Topdressing: A thin layer of screened compost worked into the turf surface to improve soil structure, water retention, and microbial life over time
- Gypsum Treatment: Breaks up compacted clay soils and improves drainage without altering pH — ideal for heavy Twin Cities clay
- Organic Matter Programs: Long-term soil building plans that reduce dependency on synthetic inputs over time
Soil amendments work best when paired with aeration, overseeding, and a proper fertilization program. Ka-Plow can build a complete soil-to-surface plan based on your test results.
